Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed October 5, 2026
Augusta Aussies, LLC is committed to making augustaaussies.com and the Augusta Aussies member portal usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Every family who reaches out to our program deserves the same access to information, to our application, and to the records that follow a placement.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is the standard most widely used to evaluate website accessibility in the United States. As new features are added, we also look to the newer WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
What We Have Done
- Pages are built with standard HTML headings, landmarks, and a declared language so screen readers can navigate them.
- Images that carry meaning include text descriptions.
- Links, buttons, and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Form fields have labels that are announced by screen readers, required fields are identified in text, and errors are announced when they appear.
- Pages respect your device's reduced-motion setting and can be zoomed without losing content.
- We do not block copying, printing, or browser tools such as read-aloud and translation on our text.
- We do not use accessibility overlay widgets. We work on the underlying site itself.
Current Status
Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, meaning some content does not yet fully meet the standard. Our most recent review, on October 5, 2026, was an internal review that combined code inspection, automated checks, and manual keyboard testing. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
- Some small text set in our light gold and light gray brand colors falls below the minimum color contrast ratio. If any text on our site is difficult to read, contact us and we will provide the information in another format.
- Our full website and member portal launch November 1, 2026. New pages, the application, and documents generated by the portal will be reviewed as they are released.
Tell Us About a Barrier
If you have difficulty using any part of our website, application, or member portal, please let us know. Describe the page or feature, what happened, and the device or assistive technology you were using, if any. We aim to respond within five business days.
